Web Standards is a Goal
Interview with me about Web standards and design at Design Interviews in which I mete out advice I should apply to myself (isn’t it easier to give it?)
“Embrace change, value life-long learning, allow your passions to show and if at any moment you are no longer having fun or gaining something personally important from doing this important work, step back for a bit and re-evaluate.”
There’s some other interesting material up on the growing site that is really useful for Web designers and developers, too.

[…] Molly Holzschlag has been known to hold a different view of standards in the community. She makes it clear in her interview. She says Web Standards are more of recommendations and specifications than enforced standards, and it is quite refreshing to read this amidst the continuous tussle between businesses, developers and people. Have a lot of questions regarding that. I guess, to start off, what do you mean by ‘fractioning’?

I invite you to check out www.anystandard.net
We have assigned the different types of standards into 10 groups. Accounting, Credit, H.R., Legal, Medical, Professional, Shipping, Shop/Trade, Sports, and Teaching.
This allows an individual to check out their particular profession without having to filter out all the other links not associated with them. I am constantly adding other links as requested to make their home pages more meaningfull.

[…] I have always enjoyed reading what Molly Holzschlag has been authoring about W3C standards. Her recent interview on web designer’s interviews is a great example to experience that. She has also given a great advice to web designers, and I am sure it will motivate you like me. It’s a worth reading material for every web designer and developer. Some of the points I really found very interesting which I would share with you here. […]

Great interview, I enjoyed reading whole of it. Your advice to other web professionals is really motivating.
Your inputs on IE8 are eye opener to me, I was assuming it might be a real matured version release. Let’s hope they address these issues before final release.
Thanks

Thanks Molly, for some info on IE8.
Can’t wait for Beta 2 - only three days now. Yargs hehe.
I hope they really made it 100% CSS 2.1 compliant with your help

@Daniel,
From those in the know (Beta testers) only 10 CSS2.1 bugs in IE8 have been fixed. Lets see how IE8b2 handle these bugs for starters.
@Molly,
So I guest IE8 is going to be a buggy browser with a switch for another buggy browser like IE7. Seems like nothing has changed.
