I love Melbourne. What an amazing, unique town.

Your post certainly made me miss my home town.
I was there for a couple of weeks in the mid ’90s — dinner each evening was just a matter of strolling a little further down Lygon Street.
It was spring time, and could get quite miserable when it rained and the wind was off the Southern Ocean, though. Like most places, it’s better in the summer.
I agree Molly, it is a wonderful city. I’ve recently moved here and I love it. I’m gutted I missed your presentation the other night, I checked your blog too late. Are you doing anything else around Melbourne?
I love Melbourne too! I can see myself living there – such a gorgeous city, lots of good food and apparently there’s lots of good shopping (which I’ve yet to do!).

If you haven’t yet put the nearby Dandenong Ranges on your places-to-see list, you should. I live about an hour from Melbourne, and its all forest, tranquility, nature, and magic.
I’m likewise gutted to have missed the privalige of meeting you, you really should have posted sooner, but if you are still in Melbourne, head out further to see the Yarra Valley, with some of the worlds best winaries, Belgrave’s Puffing Billy, and if you can find Kallista, go for a hike into the forrest near a place called Cooks Corner, as I always love seeing the Lyrebirds and its the only place you’re almost guerenteed to see them in the wild anywhere.
You’ve seen “The Bucket List” recently, didn’t you?

Yep, it’s a mighty cool city. I had the pleasure of visiting about a year and a half ago and will definitely be making a return trip. Have you been to Speaker’s Corner and heard the Federation Bells? Also possibly the best Greek food outside of Greece (although Linz, Austria has a surprising concentration of good Greek restaurants…go figure).
I love Melbourne! Eat lots of Greek food and chill out in the cute alleyway cafes!!

Haven´t been there yet, but will surely do next year on my trip to Australia when I visit friends in – yeah – Melbourne.

I moved to Melbourne 8 years ago from Newcastle (Aus), and absolutely love it. I am currently living in Buenos Aires as I feel I have to live in a few other cities in the world just to prove my niggling suspicion that Melbourne is in fact the best city in the world. Glad you enjoyed it.
