Look What Pete Did to My Mac!
This got a few good comments on Flickr but really, it’s so important I felt necessary to blog it here for your pain and pleasure. When I told Pete he put a pit in my Apple, he told me “No, Molly, it’s a seed from which amazing things shall grow.”

The guys at my previous work did the same thing to my new macbook. IE sticker on the lid. I must say, it did add some color to the white macbook – but after a few minutes it just felt…well….evil.
lets paste an Firefox sticker over it. That’s some real color! ;-P
Blue and Red and Yellow, not to mention Orange

Blasphemy! and just ewwww.
Actually, Tristan Nitot stuck me first with a FF logo when I walked out of the room during the browser summit in Paris last month. Not to be outdone, Anne Van Kesteren had to ensure that was followed by an Opera in my laptop sticker. Which of course was then trumped with two other instances of IE stickers from the IE team, and a Sliverlight sticker on the back. And there’s a Technorati sticker too, but that’s because there’s always a Technorati sticker.
Of course, this particular move was a bit aggressive. It would seem the browser wars are now being fought on my MBP. I guess I kinda asked for it, huh?
Probably the closest we’ll ever get to another IE on the Mac.
Mr LePage does know there’s a hit out on him, doesn’t he?

Hey Neil,
Been watching Sopranos, much? :/
One word: vandalism.
Revenge is the only option now
Well, years ago some of the Linux heads at the Science Park I worked at put a “Made for Windows XP” sticker from a laptop on the toilet. Made sense, somehow
i put an apple sticker (from my ipod) on the lid of my white, asus (windows) notebook. i get a LOT of questions– “what model of macbook is that?!”
Molly, I’m shocked at you, allowing strange men to put pits in your apple like that!
thank you
Nice
I cannot understand what you guys like with apple so much. It’s more lifestyle, is’nt it. It’s quite expensive, I get much more capacity for the same money if I buy a normal pc. Probably the software is good, but I always have problems if someone sends me office docs for mac that I try to open in my WinXP. Tell me a really good and convincing reason to change to mac, and I’ll do.
What I also like is this Apple-Theme of that Windows layout program StyleXP. It was really cool an made your WinXP look like an Apple. I used it some years ago and don’t know, if it still exits, sorry, I’m a bit lazy too look for it now. It made your whole XP to that apple design, including an apple-background pic. I’m not sure, but I think you could even change the start logo by microsoft to an apple-like.
thanks
