Rest In Peace Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
I’d just like to cheer a writer that had profound influence on my life.
Rest in peace always, Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. You will always be known as a man of genius.

One night, early 80’s, walking ’round the block the Village Corner was on, a familiar face….
Have you seen the memorial on his “official” website? It’s apt and poingnant and funny and simple and exactly what you would expect.
I can’t believe I just misspelled “poignant.”
A few days ago I mentioned to a co-worker about Vonnegut’s death. They asked, “You mean the guy with that short scene from ‘Back to School’?”. I had no response for that.
He will be missed.
Poo-tee-weet!
I read somewhere recently that one columnist fears he will become no more than a footnote in literature. Since I read my first Vonnegut (stolen out of my father’s library) when I was eight or so, and fell in love, I figure I’ll leave them lying around for my kids too. May his wisdom live on!
The Tralfamadoreans are still laughing, always have been, and always will be.
R.I.P i know him he will forever in my Heart!
Ho hum. As one of his characters might say.
I was wondering how long he would hang on for, but never thought there’d be another book after Timequake. Classic stuff, will be missed
So it goes.
*smiles*
I felt like I owned him because he and I grew up in the same town, Indianapolis. A place we couldn’t abide, but couldn’t completely separate from either. Don’t forget, his last book was called, A Man Without a Country.
“[This] may be as close as Vonnegut ever comes to a memoir.”
–Los Angeles Times
Goodbye ‘blue monday’ still a nueral as well cultural groove.
Those that venture ahead…take some portion of our collective
psyche with them. Like a wind stirring something eternal deep
inside…touched and touching. HiHo.
as rumour has it, to kurt vonnegut, still the 20th century yoda
