Why I Still Come Back to Tucson

As lonely as I get here most of the time these days, coming back to sunshine and warmth always makes a body feel better. I thought I had figured out where I should go to live next, but I’m rethinking that. It’s quiet and peaceful here in my home and I’m refreshed by that.

Enough about me. How are you?

    Dear Molly
I don’t know how else to reach you to ask - what has happened to the VDO chat room? If it has gone forever there are going to be a lot of women who feel like their legs have been chopped off. I hope you will find it in your heart and your timetable to give us back our lifeline. We love you for the forum you’ve given us all these years.
    Best wishes from Val Weber

  2. Jeff Says:

Molly! You’re back! Yeah!!! I checked early this morning to see what was new with Molly only to be greeted by a blankpage :( Not a good thing… But you’re back now and that ROCKS!

As for how I am, I’m fine. I’m just glad you’re site’s back online. I dunno what I would do without my daily dose of Molly!

  3. Reid Young Says:

My wife and I moved back here a few months ago (she’s a native too). Having lived in Indiana most of my life, I love this place, especially in February. If I could hack it, though:

    Hey Molly,

Glad you’re back and feeling a bit better. I’m sure the rough times yesterday had at least something to do with the wine, I uh, made you drink at Charley’s the night before.

It was really great talking to you after AEA and I look forward to speaking with you again.

  5. Ian Muir Says:

Tuscon is great this time of year, but not my cup of tea in August. I know how you feel about the warmth though, with any luck, we’ll have warmth and sunshine here in a few months.

I’m very well, thank you. And, although I won’t dwell on it, all the better for seeing you here.

Today has been relatively uneventful - bit of work this morning, kicking around with the kid this afternoon. The Life of Riley, some would say. Tomorrow, I’m home with the family, and the weekend lies ahead.

Tucson it ain’t, but Suffolk, England, it is!

  8. Wheelz Says:

I’m pretty good thanks for asking. Just awaiting my delivery from my friendly PC parts company for a day of tinkerning. Glad to see you back from white.

  9. Steven Clark Says:

    (what black dog?) …

good to hear you’ve gone to nurture and heal :)

  10. Colin Morris Says:

Full of mostly awakeness. Brisbane’s great in autumn, really brisk in the mornings when you wake up so it’s nice to see the sun pop up. My morning walk takes me past a single deciduous maple which is fun. However, we’ve only got a few more weeks of frangipani flowers so we have to enjoy those while we can.

    Viva stuff.

  11. Katablog Says:

Gotta say, I was worried with the blank page this morning. I’d come back to check on you.

Yes, Spring is busting out all over. Nature is renewing itself after a rest. I hope you do the same.

You have a friend in KS Molly.

  12. Ben Says:

Heh, don’t be doing that “display:none” shit on us again, Mols. Don’t forget who you’re dealing with!

Lotsa love from over here in the Untied Kingdom of Dyslexics.

  13. Doug Owens Says:

    Molly,

Enjoy the sunshine coming up. A touch o’ vitamin B does wonders. Just wanted to let you know that I am a bit of a noob so as I re-perused your book “spring into HTML and CSS” I felt thankful that you had wrote it and wished my instructor used it as his text. My life would have been so much easier navigating the uncharted waters of webdesign.

If you move to Tucson I just wanted to let you know of a recording conference coming to Tucson in June. It’s always refreshing to go to events not related to your general business and life. Great way to meet different people and grow your circle of friends. Who knows, new ideas for fun, life and business.

    Take care,
Doug O, Cara and Ruby The Wonderdog

  14. Anandawardhana Says:

Oh I’m so glad to see your site back online. I was so worried. Take good care of your self.

  15. ivan Says:

Tucson’s nice, but how many team sports involving a frisbee were invented there? None, unless you count folf with cacti.

  16. Jeff Says:

Good to see you back in action, Molly. Never let these people get you down, you’re far better (and more talented) than them. Jeff

  17. ritchie Says:

looking up at the sun always helps no matter.
the web got interesting for a couple of days, but now it’s standards that matter again; that’s life.
I suppose he didn’t mean you when he spoke of ‘innocents’? shucks
    take care Molly.

  18. bruce Says:

I’m well thanks, Molly. James is excited cos he turns six on Sunday, so he’ll get a cake. The garden’s full of crocuses and daffodils - and the Web Accessibility book is being translated into Japanese!

  19. Morris Holzschlag Says:

Glad you are back home safely and enjoying the sun. Many choices are ahead and may you find joy and love in them.

  20. Karen Says:

I’ve often tried to use destination to change my disposition but any relief a change of scenery brings is always fleeting. Nevertheless… I’m looking forward to an change of place, soon.

Where you are isn’t as important as who you are.

Nice to see you’re back, Molly.

  21. Jesse Says:

I thought that your charging into that revolving door had disabled your site. Glad you, and your site, are not wounded from our meeting.

    All the best -

  22. Carolyn Ann Says:

Glad you’re back! I was quite alarmed by the white-out…

I love the southwest. But I’m in New Jersey. Oh well. (I’ve never been to Tucson).

  23. Kev Says:

All the better for seeing your back :o )

  24. Mik Says:
