Um, Is This a Hint?
Well, my last night in the UK for a while, and it seems I have a small problem. Okay, he’s not that small. He’s actually pretty hefty. Ah Zeus, if I could I would, I really would.
Goodbye, goodbye. This was the happiest month of my life in many, many years. Peaceful, healing. Fun. Thank you my dear friends. My only sorrow is I didn’t get visits or more extended time with certain people, but I’ll be back and we’ll make up for all that, yeah?
I love you all!

We have a long list of cats who have done the same thing over the past 23 years. Generally, we take it to mean “don’t go, you can’t go, you’re not allowed to leave”, rather than “please take me with you”. All of our cats hate or have hated riding in cars, unless they’re sitting in front of the AC vent with it on full blast.

Dogs do this too — my dog Wednesday used to sit in my suitcase EVERY time I was packing to go back to boarding school. After I’d moved to the UK, I sent the suitcase I’d borrowed from my parents back — apparently she slept in it for weeks!

My brother’s cat used to do that, too. But she’d also leave a little “present” at the bottom of the case–the true “please don’t go” message.

Molly, we have 3 small doggies here (1 corgi cross, 1 beagle cross and 1 kelpie cross)… wouldn’t trade them for the world. Not only would I guess the cat in the picture actually wants to go with you but it probably already has air fare and has booked its tickets on the internet as well.

We just came back from a long weekend on Monday and one of our dogs did the same thing, but with an open suitcase full of clothes. She climbed atop the stack, as if she was saying, “hey, you’re not leaving again!”
