World Grows Small
A new article from me to you today. World Grows Small: Open standards for the global web, on A List Apart. There’s also an interesting article, To Hell with WCAG 2 by Joe Clark as well as all the expected ALA juicy bits.

Mmmm… juicy bits.
All juiced up.
Thanks Molly, recently I attended Ishida’s presentation on internalisation. Truely opened up my eyes.
Also, in his own style, Joe Clark is doing all of us a favour by creating a team if WCAG Ninjas.
This is a great article Molly! As someone who has worked on several multi-lingual projects, I completely concur with your analysis of the challenges of i18n and l10n. It is a fascinating subject and I am glad to see people like Richard Ishida and yourself working on it.
Good stuff from good people. Kudos.
Nortypig, wrt links to i18n do’s and don’ts, try http://www.w3.org/International/ (rather than the w3c home), which recently became a blog, too.
In particular http://www.w3.org/International/technique-index may be useful, although it is still in early stages of development. (We need volunteers to help.) Or the Getting Started stuff (also in devt.) at http://www.w3.org/International/getting-started/
Hope that helps.
