Vincent D’Onofrio and Chris Noth appear together in the U.S. premiere of Law and Order’s: Criminal Intent. It’s a new season, this Sunday, September 25 on NBC.
Though not my favorite of the Law and Order spinoffs, that’s just really hot.

Zach: I am a big fan of the original CSI as well. I don’t watch the spinoffs. The original is very film noir which is why I like it so much.
My fave L&O is in fact SVU. I like CI and obviously Vincent is part of the draw but his character gets very predictable. Actually, I like Katherine Erbe a lot. She’s quite an actress - those who watched the series Oz on HBO will recall her incredible portrayal of the character Shirley Bellinger. Woman can act!

Vincent D’Onofrio is just wonderful and I really wish I could get into L&O:CI. It’s such a shame that one of my favorite actors is on one of my least favorite shows. :\

I must admit, I’m a big fan of Vincent D’Onofrio’s character in L&O: CI. As Kate above pointed out though, it’ll probably be a few years before we get to see it.

If you’re not a fan of CSI: NY because of the typical NYPD Blue camera filters and that whole it’s-New-York-it-needs-to-be-dark-and-blue-and-dirty thing you might want to catch the season premiere. I’ve been told they are adding more colour and light to the series this season.
As far as L&O goes, I’m a fan of all 4 (Trial by Jury is a L&O spinoff as well in case nobody knew). Favs in order, not that you asked, are L&O, SVU, CI, TBJ.

I think Noth and my honey(Vince) will take turns on every other show; since Vince put himself into his role so heavy and ended up in the Hospital. We need him well for all of us to enjoy!What a hunk!! He rings my chimes!!!!!!!

Anyway, I am sorry to hear about the problem that Vince is having, he is one of my fav L&O Detectives.. I will enjoy seeing him and Noth together, I just hope L&O CI writers have it more together than L&O.. because when Lenny died, they didnt know WHO they wanted to kill, keep or put on the show.. Tuned into L&O:CI last night, and was shocked/horrified to see no mention of vince D’Onofrio in the opening credits. Turned it off and went into mourning. This morning I’ve learned that he is indeed still on the show, but half as often. Why?? Some of you have mentioned his being in the hospital, and Daylen alludes to “the problem that Vince is having.” What happened? Please fill me in.

Hello from the States! The new CI episodes are going to flip back & forth between Goren/Eames & Logan/Barek. From what I read, Vincent was getting exhaustion & wanting to do more movies, plus Katherine is very pregnant as well. I can’t complain - still get a great male detective every week!!
But did anyone see Det Barek though? I like Annabella Sciorria, but they tried to make her the “female Goren”, however to me she just sounded like Rainman. And how about when they were interviewing the susp? It’s not HER place to bring in Logan’s childhood! I think Logan was great, & they all played up his past well. Going to be great!

Is it just me, or does Mike Logan seem to be missing some personality? Maybe he needed Jerry Orbach to play off of, I don’t know. I just don’t get any vibe at all between him and Annabella Sciorra. I wish my husband Bobby Goren were starring in all the episodes, but of course it is nice to have him home more. BAHAHAHA- I wish!

Aargh! I just found out about season five of CI! Omg, must breathe deeply… that show was MADE around Goren and Eames!! What do NBC think they’re doing, skipping eps? Goren’s quirky and unusual and that’s what keeps me watching. Noth has the personality of a slug! He was FAR too obnoxious towards our sweet Vince! And taking him out of the CREDITS! WHAT THE HELL!?! Season one… the perfect screen cap from ‘The Faithful’ where Goren leaps atop the pews to get a good shot of the murder scene… how DARE they!?
*deep breath* I should stop obsessing about Goren…

It will be ages before I get to see series 4 in the UK but I’m already dreading it. Chris Noth just gives me the creeps. I never watch old L&O series he’s in. I record LOCI episodes over and over and watch them all the time. What will I do now? Vincent is just so attractive. They would be better off halving the number of episodes and just having ones with him and Erbe in. What we have is a brilliant actor who is a very dishy man being eased out by a slimey yuck who can’t act to save his life. If they had to get someone else in, why couldn’t it have been someone with at least a little bit of charisma? Maybe we could make suggestions to the network? At least we should make them aware of the following LOCI has among women just because of Vincent, a following they risk losing wihtout him.

i wasout of the country when the first episode of l & O. C.I was aired and only came in on episode 4, what happened in episode one, where is Goren, I wont be watching as much will only turn it over when I know Vince is on, I cant stand Chris Noth he cant act, come on L & O get back to reality.

I won’t be watching the show that often now that they are playing tag team. I love the goren/eames team the other team is bland and it doesn’t hurt that vincent d’onofrio is hot. I’ve started renting the movies he’s done. Very good actor.

Just discovered CI about 3 or 4 weeks ago during a CI marathon. Fell in love with Vince, knocking Noth out of the woods. He is soooo hot and an excellent actor. Very convincing and really mezmerizing. Don’t let anything happen to him. Now I do a print out to find out every time and station CI is being shown. Keep Vince and scratch Noth!!!!!!!!

I love vincent d’onofrio, I never miss a episode of seeing him, he is the main reason I love CI so much. I’m here down under so CI is on a break at the moment but I cannot wait till it’s back on our telly, I really do miss seeing Vincent. I’m going to see ‘thumbsucker’ when it’s out here in australia. Wondering why Vincent D’Onofrio is no longer on the show L&O: CI: His heroin addiction became so out of control that the show cut him loose. It’s amazing how relatively under wraps this ordeal has been. He has been replaced by Chris Noth. Sadly, there will be no Vincent D’Onofrio coming back on the show in the near future!

Vincent D’onofrio is my perfect man, I LOVE VINCENT!!! I’m in australia and I love CI, Vincent is the main reason I watch law&order:CI, he is the best and a fabulous actor - very talented, mmmmm. CI is off air here in Australia at the moment, so I am really missing Vincent terribly and I can’t wait till he returns to our screens down under here. I love his movies too and I’m going to see ‘Thumbsucker’ when it’s out down under. I LOVE VINCENT SO MUCH!!! He has enormous fans and love from down under!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope he visits Australia again real soon. I pray for Vincent that he keeps well too, as I need to see him on our screens, I get very upset when I don’t seen him, I hanging out and on till he returns to our screen in australia in 2006 - early I pray.

In response to Skye Xone, where did you hear that Vincent a heroin addict? The decision to split the show w/ Chris is due to Vincent’s collapse from exhaustion last year. Unlike the other L&O shows, Vincent & Kate are in nearly every scene. He sure doesn’t look like a junkie to me!

Vincent has been on current episodes of LOCI….I would be completely shocked out of my mind if I learned he was a heroin junkie…he’s always been a fan of wellness, not drugs…the only thing I’ve ever seen him smoke are ‘legal’ cigs…I pray you are mistaken Skye Xone…nah, you know Vincent is just too serious an actor to get messed up like that, so i’m totally dismissing that comment….much love for my vinnie…:)

Why would anyone want to start such a vicious rumor??? If there is nothing better for you to do with your time.. please don’t make up stories about people you don’t really know, okay??
Because Vincent D’Onofrio is a workaholic and takes his craft very seriously, he’s over extended himself.
As a result, he collapsed and had to be hospitalized. No drug addictions…
just exhaustion.
Frankly speaking, I’d rather see 100% of Vincent rather than Chris Noth. I’m really wondering WHY…the network bothered to bring Noth back???

I agree that CI is Eames and Goren but Vincent has stated that we can have him every other week or not at all. He had a health issue last year and needed time off to get better. I miss them a lot when they are not on but me personally, I had rather have him every other episode as not at all. Besides, I have been giving Noth a chance and he isn’t horrible…he might grow on me if I watch him a little more. Of course I will end by saying Vincent D’Onofrio and Kathryn Erb rocks and CAN NOT be replaced.

“CROOKED HEARTS” aired on the Lifetime
Movie Channel on Saturday Morning!! Almost missed it (tuned in 35 minutes late)
Vincent was YOUNGER LOOKING & SKINNY!! (2001) in this movie. He portrayed a VERY HOSTILE 26 yr old still living at home with both parents??
Since I missed the first 30 mins. of this movie, I didn’t understand WHY “Charley” (Vincent’s character) was so angry??? Bringing a girl to the house and sleeping with her, throwing breakfast at the walls for no reason…really nasty to his dad!!! And burning the HOUSE DOWN…OH MY!! What IS… your problem Charley?
Thankfully, we all found out what Charley’s real issues were!
All in all, I enjoyed this movie. Couldn’t get over how youthful & thin Vincent D’Onofrio was in this movie. It’s no wonder all the ladies LOVE & adore HIM???

Vincent D’Onofrio Rules as Goren ! I watched one episode of Law & Order C.I. a few weeks ago and was majorly hooked. How did I miss this show. I love Law & Order but really don’t like the detectives on it now. I really loved Briscow and Noth was ok then. But on Law & Order C.I. he has all the charisma of a slug. He is so dull, Vincent is mesmerizing as Goren and I eagerly look to watch any and all episodes so that I can see him in action. I was devastated when Law & Order C.I. came on and no mention of my beloved Eames & Goren. They even took them out of the opening. I am hoping that what I read above is correct and Vincent will be on this year. He is fantastic. Goren & Eames RULE !!!

Was very disappointed with new season. Expected it to be like SVU where there are two sets of partners who often act as one team. Dual openings suck. Give Logan and Barek time, the writers are still working out their dynamics. They have great potential, as seen in the two hour episode, “In the wee small hours.” Anyone wondering how the two women would work together?

Vincent is a GREAT actor but CI is not as believable as the original. The criminal’s lawyers just let Vincent go off on his tirade and the perp’s hang themselves. He continues questioning after they request a lawyer and he bullies his way into their homes. There is basically no courtroom action so no one even sees what a great actor Courtney B. Vance is. I think having Chris on there keeps the show fresh…..

I totally loved that Ice-t was on SVU although his acting skills could be better, the irony of it satisfied me.
Anyway, I agree that they’re going the wrong way trying to make SCiorra the Goren girl….Chris Noth is alright but he did work better with Jerry Orbach, who was awesome! Honestly I would probably not keep watching the show if Vincent D’Onofrio was written off. You folks have to admit he does not look like a Bobby. Anyway, I love those episodes with the Nicole Wallace character. She’s totally creepy, she’s like the anti-Goren. Love it!

OH MY GOSH, I JUST LOVE VINCENT I HAVE TO SIT IN FRONT OF THE TV ON THE L&O CI MARATHON DAYS AND I AM GLUED TO THAT SHOW. HE IS SO DROP DEAD GOOD LOOKING. ANY ONE OUT THERE KNOW ANYONE THAT KNOWS HIM? I WOULD LOVE TO MEET HIM IN PERSON BUT THEN I WOULD PROBLY PASS OUT.

Far as I am concerned, strand me on a desert island with both Vincent and Chris!!!! They’re both drop-dead gorgeous, wonderful actors, and I, too, would love to launder their fine washables.
Dick Wolf has said time and again that L&O is not a character-driven series. The story is the star. Consequently, especially in L&O The Original, those actors created their characters out of air — there was nothing in the script. Noth/Logan always rocks. And Vinny/Bobby, I’d love to change his oil, clean his plugs, grind his valves, tune his exhaust — you get the picture. Oh, but be still, my palpitous heart! Give Chris & his partner some time to evolve; they will surprise you! As for Vinnie & Alex, they already rock, so they can only get better. Just wish we could have all four at once like SVU. Oh, well.

i realize we all have our own idea of who’s a hottie and respect all opinions…funny b/c i am usually NOT a girl who gets all crazy for celebs and at the age of 37, i have only been truly dazzled by one actor (guess i’m just not into celebs, and plus they are all too skinny…)anyway, after having said this, i have to ask…ladies, are you blind????? you prefer vince do over my beautiful chris noth????? I used to be a model-full figured-and have met quite a few famous guys, and i swear, they could NOT BELIEVE that a girl(and ESP. a non-skinny one) wouldn’t act all gaga over them…they just didn’t do it for me..so my point is, i thought for sure if a non-celeb lover like me could get nuts over chris noth, there must be ALOT of others out there!!! i mean, look at him!!!!he is, literally, the perfect man, AND a brilliant actor…he’s friggin MR BIG…didn’t any of you girls ever watch sex & the city? geez, i am embarrassed to be gushing like this-this is the first time i’ve actually looked someone’s info up on line, either. so obviously, i am thriiled to have mike logan back…i can’t be the only one who wants to comfort him every time he screws up (on the show, i mean)can i? i would love to find out about chris noth, the real man. girls- watch those green eyes next time the show is on, watch how expressive they are…you can tell what his character is feeling just by watching his eyes.,..ok, enough acting like a groupie…i just had to get that shock of my chest, but beleieve me, its fine if you like that other dude better…then i can have him all to myself….sigh

I was shocked to hear that Vincent collapsed from exaustion… Poor baby. At first, i was appauled that they would REPLACE vincent, and kathryn, but I guess it is logical, and if Vincent was in poor health, I think it is good for him to take time off. I feel so sorry for him, and hope he feels better. I ❤ him.
and did someone say Kathryn erbe was pregnant again in season four? She just had her baby in season three. but whatevs. I just feel bad for my baby

chris noth is ohk. hes a good actor and what not, but his character in CI, Logan, he does Eames’ job ( following the footsteps of the mor e analytical character) but with less poise and wit. he needs to step it up.

I am so thrilled to see Chris Noth on Law & Order CI, I haven’t watched it much as I didn’t care for Vincent’s character. Now I don’t miss an episode that has Mr. Noth in it. I have adored his “Mike Logan” character since “his” original L & O appearence so many years ago!

I like Goren and Eames a lot better than Logan and Barek. I love Goren and Eames’s interrogation methods. I love Goren. Vincent D’Onofrio does a great job as Goren. D’Onofrio is the main reason I started watching Law and Order:CI. He is one of my favorite actors.

Has anybody noticed all the changes?? No more Jamey Sheridan (he asked to be written out of the show) He claims to want to spend more time with his family in California. Courtney B. Vance…when did he get written out??? He was suppose to be replaced by Nona Gay (the late Marvin Gay’s daughter) She back out and then she was replaced by Thereasa Randle (for just 3 episodes until she makes up her mind)
This could be an opportunity for Courtney Vance to return?? And now Chris Noth has a new partner… Annabella Sciorra has departed. And the new captain; Eric Bogosian???
And alas; Vincent, he seemed to be getting quite OVER WEIGHT. I saw him last week (Nov. 14, 2006) for the six season and Vincent looks quite HEAVY!! He doesn’t seem too interested in portraying Det. Robert “Bobby” Goren either!! If Vincent D’Onofrio leaves L&O:CI,
there will be NO NEED of me watching either…
I’m thinking that this will be Vincent’s LAST season with the show!

I really lIke Vincent in Law and Order CI and if he leaves there is no point in me watching it. I mean he is the show. He plays it cool and smart and most of the time he has the last word at the end of the show. He doesn’t even seem like he needs a partner he comes up with the answers way before she does. It’s like he sets her up so she can figure out for her self instead of just saying it all the time. Believe it or not i only started watcning Law and Order CI for maybe not even a year before that i didn’t really know who vincent was. After watching him on that show i started watching the movies he has been in, except i can’t watch full metal jacket because i don’t want to see him get beat with bars of soap and i also don’t want to see him blow out his brains-yes i have seen those scenes before and i would never watch that movie again. The movies i have seen are Strange Days- he plays a bad cop. I saw him in stewart smally saves his family- played a strong character that liked to fight, he was in dying young- he was trying to get in julia roberts characters pants, very sexy- in that movie he was a construction worker, they are strong. I have seen the cell- strong character, he was in happy accidents-strong character. Full Metal Jacket he was not a strong character- he played a mentally slow, helpless man which was really hard to see. I do love his smerky smiles they are cute. I love his eyes the way he just looks- i bet if he looked at me the way he looks in his movies i would probably faint and i am not a fainty kinda girl. He just has those strong manly eyes like a tiger. Very Sexy… I think he looks great, he might be gaining weight but i think i perfer him with a little weight on him. I hope Law and Order CI can get him to stay offer him more money or something.

Having read all the many, many remarks above, it is good to know Mr D’ONOFRIO has so many loyal and interesting fans. I have always watched LOCI right from the start when Goren was so geeky/nerdy but nevertheless so very handsome!! On the strength of this I have bought a lot of his movies, probably about 12!!!! and he is indeed a very versatile actor, with great depth and feeling. I highly recommend true fans to do likewise and you will discover a whole different Mr D’ONOFRIO especially in Velocity of Gary!!!! I am lucky enough to be able to watch Series 6 at the moment, and I’m afraid I rarely watch non- D’ONOFRIO episodes as to me they are simply not worth the bother. I must say, that I think it would be best to end LOCI now before the rot sets in so we can all remember it for the truely wonderful groundbreaking criminal series it was, that gave us all the opportunity to see great and talented actors every week, and not as a series limping along with so-so actors (the many new ones)!! going through the motions of a cop series.
PS. Mr D’ONOFRIO did mention a while back that he might play the part of a master thief in a drama series, i think, being made in Australia???!!!!!

Hang in there, because Vincent and Kathryn Erbe are going to be on the Jan 9th and Jan 16th episode of 2007. I’m hoping that Vincent does not have plans to quit otherwise i will not be watching it anymore, because him and Kathryn Erbe make the show. I’m sorry but Chris Noth’s new Partner just does’nt fit the profile of a detective she does not know what she is doing half the time i liked his old partner better Anna. I do like Chris but not his partner so if vincent leaves that will be it for me unless they change Chris’s new partner which is very unlikely.

Where is D’Onofrio Where is Eames? I am looking for what happened to them–I really miss them–Does anyone know if he is coming back? Is he ok? What about Erbe? NBC does not allow for email questions. He makes the show and so does she–it is not the same unless Wolf is planning to dump the series. Please let me know. Thanks. Ellen

I haven’t heard anything about Dick Wolf cancelling Law and Order CI because he wouldn’t have brought on Chris Noth and Julianne Nichloson to help Vincent and Kathryn with the case loads, because Vincent wasn’t going to sign on for another season unless Dick Wolf brought somebody else to help so i don’t think that,that is happening yet. The only concern that i have is that they are already running repeats for the next episode of Law and Order CI for season 6. The one for jan 16th 2007 is a repeat, and also Vincent does not work well with Eric Bogosian he does not care for him and neither do i. I think that Dick Wolf needs to get him out of there and bring Jamey Sheridan back as captain and Courtney B Vance as the Lawyer or he just may be forced to cancel it because to many people like them verses the new captain that they have and the new lawyer that you never see. As far as I am concerned, without Vincent D’Onofrio the show does not exist. He and Kathryn Erbe are the central and most talented of all the Law and Order series actors. I have a feeling that we will see more of Bobby Goren because the writers have given Goren’s mother a face (actress Rita Moreno) and have also brought his drug addicted brother to our attention. He is portrayed by actor/producer Tony Goldwyn. Long live the team of Goren and Eames.

hey anyone. i would like to purchase the episode where eames is abducted and duct taped and hung up on a pipe. i missed it and it just tore my heart out. i cant imagine how she survived. yes i know its just a tv episode. bobbys face shows great pain. also she testifies in cour and her face is so utterly painfully expresive. and the the camera pans to bobby in the courtroom and his face is mixture of compassion and sorrow. help help i saw this episode piecemeal with no sound which my son either tivod wrong or who knows. i was in tears the whole time for both of them. i love bobby and alexa and have taken this personally.

D’Onofrio is a definite HOTTIE and a first rate actor. He got my attention first in “Full Metal Jacket”. I worry a lot that he will be pulled from CI because of his weight. You know how those TV Producers are…fatties are always canned. I think he looks just as sexy as a heavy man-kind of reminds me of a better-looking version of Orson Welles. I also adore Eames, his partner. She is a perfect foil for him. I think she’s gorgeous and love those hilarious sarcastic comments she makes. Let’s all hope that he doesn’t get replaced by Noth because of the weight gain.
