Gone Fishing?

From our lovely lady’s posture (look close!) that’s what came to mind, but this was taken earlier today (12 July 05) in Las Vegas, where the temperature was 112 and there weren’t no fish out on the tarmac.

Later the next day: Several people have brought to my attention that they don’t get the joke (if it really is a joke). If you look very closely at the open door of the plane, there’s a young woman sitting there, legs swinging just as if she were sitting on the end of a dock on a summer’s day.

Hey, it made sense at the time . . .

  1. It’s not that hot inside with the AC on full blast.

I just moved here from Washington state. The heat is a bit much, that’s for sure.

I’m starting to wish I had Air Con. My little desktop fan can’t keep up.

The evidence, such as it is, doesn’t support any of the assumptions we’re making here.

It’s a given that it’s very warm on the tarmack. Bu even were we to accept the temperature offered by the author here, ambient temperature outside the airplane may not directly impact the interior temperature of the airliner.

Therefore, to assume that this woman opened this door to escape the heat inside the body of the plane is a stretch of reason at best, a disregard for hard facts at worst.

I say one of the maintenance guys just farted in the rear compartment. It’s just as plausible as any other theory.

Jack: Yeah, Las Vegas can get really hot. So can Tucson, and I’m darned glad I’m not there this week!

Sian: At 112 f, no cooling of any kind is not just damned uncomfortable, but dangerous. What were people thinking when they went to the desert?

Better question: What was I thinking? :)

Keith: hey, if it were that bad, she wouldn’t be in such a relaxed pose. She’d have jumped!
