search silliness
Okay, I was being silly and I entered in the term “search” and searched Google. What popped up was a list of search engines, and Google is number 7 on that list. Does anyone else find this kind of funny?

Good thing their name is at the top of the page.
Oh, but the funnier thing is that “search”, typed in the Yahoo! Search box, results in Google at #1. Ha!
I think it’s a conspiracy.
Google is #1 for the search for search for. I think it’s got to do with how, if you link to a page using some words, google thinks it more relevant. Yahoo! does not do the same. More people must have linked to search.com using the word “search.
Strange, nevertheless.
If Google was ranked #1, people would say they are forging their PageRanking system. Now this is the perfect alibi. So it IS a conspiracy
I used the “dissatisfied” link at the bottom to give them some feedback on this awful problem.
I wonder if that’s a side-effect of the fact that so many people use “google” as a verb in place of the word “search”? E.g.:
“If you want more info on foo, google for it.”
“I was googling for foo, and found this link…”

Yes. I do.
Wow… I never thought of it.. just did a search right now.. yes google is on 7th position! What does that mean ? At least what I can interpret is… they are genuine!
