The revolution in blogging that *I* keep hoping for is the one where people improve the CONTENT of their blogs, rather than trying to make them “prettier.” I often get the impression that the more elaborate blogs are designed that way to hide the lack of anything interesting being posted about; it’s easier to add bells and whistles than it is to write originial and insightful essays.

I foresee blogs replacing bulletin boards / white boards (are they still used?) altogether - both commercial and personal and academic. Companies using the usual contact methods switching to blogs in a more open source manner to solicit product / service improvement. Individuals taking their personalities and ideologies global.
