Congrats! I hope MT has some users left to buy it. Actually I think the whole licensing “thing” makes it more likely that folks will keep 2.x around longer, so maybe that will be a boon?
Anyway, here’s hoping it goes the way of the da Vinci Code
Congratulations! I, too, hope it’s like the Da Vinci Code in terms of popularity. Hopefully your information is a little more accurate.
How much of the book would you say is MT specific? Those topics on the cover are common to many blogging packages. Do you think the book would have some use for others?
imho, I don’t think the less technically-proficient folks (i.e. people who might buy this book) are willing to uproot their entire CMS just because of some licensing scheme that doesn’t affect them if they stay with 2.x.
Anyway, congrats. You do realise that now you’re going to get flooded with emails about MT problems, right?
If you were among the Movable-Type, then you would have moved on already, I guess.
Now that the book is out, you cannot start using WordPress, and that’s _final_!
Congratulations!!, may interesting thinks happen to your book(s).

Teach Yourself Movable Type
MOLLY — We use MT 3.0 on an educational installation and the 41 students involved don’t get any special handling when setting up their templates. That’s because wonderful tutorials exist, like Molly Holzschlag’s Teach Yourself Movable Type in 24 Hours.
OTOH, if you need a book to do anything other than install MT, maybe you probably won’t be reading about the book.
Thanks for the info on MT 3.0 BTW, when I saw the price for the Developers’ edition, I was pretty shocked. I use it for some non-profit stuff, and that price is out of reach.
